A Message from Stephen Curtis, Chariman

Portrait Company formation and the various other corporate services the company registration industry offers are functions at the heart of the economic life of this country. Companies and similar vehicles are fundamental to the way the UK economy works and to its potential for innovation, growth, and employment. ACRA's work helps Britain flourish.

Company registration is a competitive industry, and that ensures that members' services are good value for money and meet their clients' needs. Members of ACRA agree to meet quality standards and you can have confidence in dealing with any one of them.

My own background has been varied. I spent five years as the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales and Chief Executive of Companies House, and have held a variety of other posts at senior levels within government. I am left with a deep understanding of how civil service bodies have to operate. But I have been enormously lucky also to see company registration and associated work from the other side of the fence. For seven equally happy years I was a director of one of the foremost corporate service providers. This blend of experiences means that I am very pleased to represent the company formation industry through ACRA.
